The patronal devotion of Naxxar is dedicated to Our Lady of Victories, a Marian title celebrating the Virgin Mary’s protection and intercession during times of struggle. The town’s beloved titular statue of the Vitorja, is an early 18th-century baroque wooden statue imported from Rome by an unknown Italian sculptor, arriving around 1725. It is the focal point of the annual festa and is carried in solemn procession each September.
