Ħagar Qim & Mnajdra Temples

Two of Malta’s most famous UNESCO World Heritage sites can be found within the limits of Zurrieq and Qrendi. Ħaġar Qim temples stand on a hilltop overlooking Fifla, while a short amble down the hill will bring you to the temples of Mnajdra. Both temple complexes date back to 3600-3200 BC, a period known as the Ġgantija (giantess) phase in Maltese prehistory, and are among the most ancient religious sites found on Earth.
