Church of St Lucy

The Church of St Lucy is a small medieval chapel with origins dating back to at least 1460. Located near the picturesque valley of Wied il-Qlejgħa, close to Chadwick Lakes, the chapel is one of the oldest surviving religious buildings in the area. Although modest in scale, it houses an important 16th-century titular painting of St Lucy, depicting the saint holding a palm branch while an angelgestures toward a plate bearing her eyes, a symbol of her martyrdom. The chapel underwent extensive restoration in the early 2000s, preserving its historic character.
