Standing proudly above the town, the Mtarfa Clock Tower is one of the locality’s most recognisable landmarks. Built by the British in 1895, the tower originally served the nearby military barracks and surrounding settlement, providing a visible timekeeping point for

soldiers stationed in the area. Thanks to its elevated position, the tower can be seen from across the Rabat–Mdina countryside.
