Marsa

Marsa Harbour and Historic Wharf Areas

The Marsa harbour and surrounding wharf areas reflect the town’s centuries-old maritime heritage. Located deep within the Grand Harbour’s inner creeks, the sheltered waters once served as an anchorage used by traders since Phoenician times. Over the centuries the area evolved into an important port and industrial zone, particularly during British rule.
