Iklin

St Michael Chapel

Just across the outskirts of Iklin stands the historic Chapel of St Michael the Archangel, a modest yet important reminder of the area’s older roots. Originally documented during the Apostolic Visit of Pietro Dusina in 1575, the chapel was rebuilt in 1615 by Gilormu Agius after falling into disrepair. Today, the chapel opens to the public only once a year for the feast of St Michael on 29 September, when Mass is celebrated in a quiet but cherished local tradition.
